I have the engine since new in the mid 90's; it seems to have lost most of the compression and would like to do things right and perform better. Help is needed

I would suggest sending it to Richard at YS for a freshening up.

Yes Petec parts were purchased from Richard at YS the piston not reaching top as the old one did but next spring I will try the engine
