It was thought by the YS engineers that it would provide more consistant upright to inverted running, i.e. no mixture change. They figured out that a change in the carb was what was necessary instead.

Dave, Great response time!!
How to I know if I have an old carb and need it? I have an older NC , but have put the newer needel valve in it, but have had problems with the engine dying when I go vertical and then level out or spin.
Thanks, Mark
