Default Regulator Plunger

Dave,

Is the brass weight really needed in the regulator? I have been told it is not, and all of my NC's run fine without them.

It was thought by the YS engineers that it would provide more consistant upright to inverted running, i.e. no mixture change. They figured out that a change in the carb was what was necessary instead.

Dave, Great response time!!
How to I know if I have an old carb and need it? I have an older NC , but have put the newer needel valve in it, but have had problems with the engine dying when I go vertical and then level out or spin.

Thanks, Mark

You don't need it. Try richening the regulator slightly.
