I have my 63 running pretty well after setting the valves and tightening all the back plate & carb bolts.
But if I let it idle for a while it loads up. If I shut it down it continues to pump fuel into the carb.
Does this sound like the regulator is sticking, or is it a carb issue?
Please help. I really don't want to send it in. In Minnesota we have a short flying season.

I had the same problem with my 63 try cleaning the regulator and plunger with alcohol its apparently not seating correctly allowing fuel to seep threw. I had a piece of dirt in my regulator area not allowing plunger to seat right. Good luck Bruce

The regulator plunger has debris under it which is preventing it from sealing, or it is damaged. I suspect debris is the cause. Disassemble the regulator and make sure there is no dirt holding the plunger from sealing.
