Hi Dave,
I have a 160DZ with 30-40 flights on it, runs beautifully but for one problem , the first start of the day seems very very difficult, I open the throttle and give it a nice turnin over to prime it but its still takes forever to start, after the first start it will start on first turn everytime.the needles seem perfect and I just reset the tappets so its probably not them, any help would be great
30% Coolpower
17 x 12
Hatori Pipe and Muffler
Thanks
John

Thanks Dave,
The Venturi isnt accessible without taking off the cowl, would make life difficult to have to remove it and prime it that way each day, couldlivve with it though, was just curious as to the possible cause as I have another 160 that starts without any priming
Thanks John

there would be but makes things a little bit more complicated then necessary, when you say just the pump-fixable by adjustment/cleaning or new pump?
The reason this concerns me is that with the season beginning soon I would rather have it right in case it lets me down fully one day.
Thanks Dave

An easy way to prime the DZ for the first start is to open the throttle and use your fueling pump. Simply fill the tank, pinch the vent line, and give your fuel pump a turn or two (manual) or short burst (electric). Works great.
