Dave..My 110 is running wonderful...
But I continue to have one last prob...
As you know..these 110's will idle low...sometimes it makes everyone at the field come over and ask..if I have onboard glow to keep it running an idle that would make other 4-strokes die flat out!
I do run a Graupner 14x7 3-bladed prop..and all that mass helps a lot...
After flying..I bring her in..and she slows wonderfully..and If I need a go around..I just push the throttle and is advances perfectly throughout midrange to WOT.
Now here is the last issue....
After she makes wheels down..and rolls out..the engine will stop....
I'm thinking that the idle mixture is still not quite right....
If I fire her up in the pits..and let her idle low..she will for a good long while ..with only an occasional "Burp" of the throttle to keel everything cleaned out
Fuel is YS 20/20 (soon to be 30 Heli)
I just adjusted the valves to .003" tonight (they were @ .005-.006)..and if all holds and the wind dies A BIT..I'M TAKING HER OUT AGAIN TOMOROW!
any thoughts??

Just for grins, take the plug out and with a #11 knife blade, reach in and pull the element out of the cavity about 1/32". It will bend OK, just do it slowly.
Run it without changing anything else and let me know what happens.

Sorry Dave.....
I left for the field before checking for your reply......
Went all day..still fighting the after landing quit gremlin...
I did need to richen the high end needle a bit...(when it threw a prop in the pits...DUHHHHHHHH)
But after flying one time..and calling "LANDING" on 3 attempts......the weather was so good ..that people just weren't listening..and had to go around 4 times because I couldn't get a clear runway......
I knew she was running on fumes...and when she finally went deadstick...I literally had to call dead stick 3 times.....last time I SCREAMED it with authority...and those taxing to the main FINALLY got the hint and taxied off into the grass....
Well to make a long story short....a DOWNWIND deadstick landing in the grass...against the main traffic pattern...in the ROUGH..netted me a broken retract..
Since the engine was dead anyway.....I got off CHEAP!
Oh well...
I'm REALLY interested in trying out your "Fix"...
It sounds like your trying to get the element more into the "FLow"..and might be the ticket...
My plug is an OS "F"...
Do the YS plugs offer the element further out to begin with...and do you think they are superior for that famous "YS Idle".
THanks again Dave..can't wait to get the bird back in the air...Oh..and I know for a fact that one guy flying a pattern ship decided there and then to buy a YS....especially when his thunder tiger (?) threw a rod and took him out for the day!...
If you get an order for a 110 or a 120 from Oklahoma City in the next day or two....He's the guy!...
and If you have trouble understanding his credit card number over the phone....It's because he hasn't stopped DROOLING!!!

Sorry you didn't get to try the plug mod. All it does is make the element run a bit hotter and sometimes fixes problems. Not many guys even know about it.
The YS plug is made by OS. It's really an OS F marked with YS markings, so they are exactly the same.
Since we don't sell direct, tell your friend to check with Tower, Central, or some other mail order outfit. I doubt that he will find a 110 anywhere, next load of them is due in June.
