Maybe you are just setting the engine too lean. Go to www.ysperformance.com and follow the running instructions.

i try to keep my motor a bit rich its not overly rich and is defentlyt not lean as its not getting hot and producing plenty of smoke its doing 9200rpm on the 16by 6 apc its is a new motor however its had about 6 or 7 gallons though it now! have you ever had this prob before?

Try flying it cowl off. I don't think the louvers will provide enough cooling. Has the engine done this since new?

No i had the motor in a g-trick 90 for a bit and had no probs the g-trick must have had better cooling so you reckon it might be getting to hot a and scorhing the plug? ill fly the f90 without the cowl on for a bit and see if it cures it, if so i no its a cooling prob thxs dave
