Default YS 63 Help

I've totally got my YS 63 out of whack. Can someone get me back on track with this engine? I just need me some needle settings to start with. I'm running Sig 10%nitro/20%oil fuel, Enya No.4 glow plug,APC 14X4W Prop. The time before last out flying the engine would run fine but after about 2 minutes in the air it would die. So yesterday I decided to get on the net and look up the stock needle settings and between that and my manual I closed the low end and backed it out 1 turn and turned the high end out 2.5 turns. Well this was so rich it was blowing raw fuel out the carb. So it would run but like crap. So I proceeded to keep backing out the low end to lean it up but never got it to run right. I also tried leaning and richening the high end but never got it running good.

Thanks,

Mike[sm=drowning.gif]

Wrong fuel, wrong plug. It will never run properly with what you are using.

We recommend YS 20/20 fuel or 30% heli blend for the YS engines of all sizes.

Install a YS #4 or OS type F glow plug, they are both the same.

Go to www.ysperformance.com and follow the running instructions.

Good Luck!

Dave,

I can't thank you enough. I took your advise and bought some YS 20/20 fuel and a few OS Type F glow plugs. WOW!!! This engine came alive. I set the high end needle out 2 turns and the low end out 1.5 turns as per your instructions. Filled it with the YS blend fuel and she fired right up. All I had to do after she started was lean the high end a little and it was on. What a powerhouse. [sm=thumbup.gif]

Thanks Again,

Mike
