hi,
the engine is new and only had a 3 tanks through it. The last time i used it was when my plane went in on its first flight. the engine is now on a new plane and won't go. im 100% sure its plumed up ok and got no leaks as it holds presure. so at first i thought it was a blockage but i striped the carb/air box off and it was spotless and had no blockigise i also blue throw the inlet valve to make sure that was not bloked which it wasn't.
i reasembled the engine with new gaskits and still no go but i found out it runs for about 5 seconds if you put fule straight into the head so its just burning of that bit. fule is geting into the carb and the pump is also wooking[&:]
so any idears what else it could be? im stumped
Thanks for any help...... Andrew

Since you crashed, it is difficult to know what might be wrong. You had the engine apart. If you took the regulator off, it may not be re-installed correctly. There is a bump on the reg casting right on the parting line. It must face forward or the engine won't run.
Check it.
Check it.

hi Dave,
thanks for your help on this, iv checked it and its fine.
i did not take the regulator off as it seemed to be working OK because when you turn the engine over it pumps flue and pressure.
the carb is clean and not blocked yet it don't seem to be getting flue into the head?????
iv asked about at my club and got members who know ys engines to look it over and they Can't find why it wont run.
as i said before when you put flue into the head it runs but just burns that bit off. i have got throttle response for that short time and it will rev up so to me the carbs working
i just don't understand why it wont go....... Andrew
