Hi Dave,
I've recently purchased a second hand 110, my first YS, it had only had 1 gallon of fuel through it.
I continued running it in, 2 turns out on the main, for another gallon - Magnum 20% Heli.
During this time the oil blowing out on to the wing of my aircraft, was clear red....Nice.
I then leaned it out to peak rpm and backed it off 3 clicks.
Since then the oil coming out has minute black particles in it.
This worried me, so I checked it out under a magnifying glass.
They don't appear to be metallic particles, they look like bits of carbon.
I'm still rather concerned and hesitant to run the engine any further, without hearing what you have to say.
The engine runs strong and starts easily, am I being concerned about nothing?
BTW it's mounted on a Probuild soft mount and running an APC 16x6.
Thanks,
Didg.

Is there a problem with the Magnum Brand or is it just the Magnum brand with that 110. Would you not recommend magnum fuel because it builds up carbon? Is it a Castor -synthetic issue?

Never heard of an issue with Magnum. I do know that some of the dyes used to color fuel will sometimes breakdown and cause the black flecks that you see.
