Default YS 63 fuel problem

Recently I bought a half finished seduction freestyle with a ys 63fz. When I bought it the engine was running great (I've runned it with wildcat 30%) but 4 weeks later I wanted to make my maiden flight with the freestyle. Unfortunately without success. The engine didn't run because it didn't get any fuel from the regulator. At home I carefully disassembled the regulator and cleaned it but without any success.
Does anyone knows what could be wrong? I live in the Netherlands and a YS engine is pretty unique here so there aren't much people here who have the knowledge to repair a YS. So i hope maybe someone here at this forum could help me.

Is the fuel tank building pressure? Make sure the check valve is working correctly.

The check valve works correctly and the tank is holding it's pressure when you blow air into it. But the regulator doesn't pump air into the tank. Everything is plumbed as on www.yspeformance.com.
So I think somethings wrong with my regulator.

i think you are suppose to run the motor with YS-Saito 20/20,,, that's what i run mine with ,,check your glow plug,, if thats not it then check & make sure the regulator screw is flush with the caseing it screws into,,,

I found the problem. When I took the regulator of to clean it I probably turned it around 180 degrees when I mounted the regulator back . So when I disassembled the regulator again I saw there was a back and a front and when flipped it again the YS runned great.

Thanks for your help anyway dave.

They work so much better when put together correctly.

Glad you found the problem.

Dave,

Hate to sound stupid but how can I tell which way the regulator housing goes back on?

Terry
