Hi Dave,
I hope you can help.
I have a lovely new Extreme Composite OTOP pattern ship, powered by a 140DZ.
I'm having some problems tuning the top end. On opening the throttle the engine picks up cleanly, but 'goes off' after a couple of seconds. It doesn't seem to matter if the motor is rich or lean, it just runs inconsistently. I've never had this sort of issue with any other YS motors...
THe motor is mounted on a Hyde type mount, with a nose ring. The tank is plumbed with a 2oz header (I don't think it's a plumbing issue), and I'm running int on 20 nitro 20 synthetic, with a 17x10 prop.
any ideas?
thanks
Julian

Check the valves. .003" on both. If that's right, try another can of fuel. We've heard of problems in the UK with certain fuels, the name won't be mentioned here.
