Default When to replace piston?

Hi Dave,

How does one tell if a piston is due for replacement? I am in the process of replacing the piston ring. It is a YS110 which lost a couple of hundred RPM over a period of time.

Thanks in advance.

Since it is apart, I would change it anyway.
