Hey all. I have an Edge 540 70" span weighing in at 8 1/2 pounds (according to my fish scale) without engine (obviously) or engine mount. Everything else is in there. Curious about whether the 1.10 or 140 Sport would be a better choice. I would like 'vertical out of hover' power, or as close to that as possible. I wish I could afford the 160 or 140DZ, but these are simply out of my price range. Thanks for the help.

It's hard to keep mufflers on those 140's

Your airplane is in the weight range that could use either the 110 or 140. Remember that the 140 will need more fuel, vibrate more than a 110 and weighs more initially.

I believe the 110 running Coolpower 30% heli fuel would work ok, but by the time it is rigged up, you're looking at 10.5+ pounds. If you want great hovering, the 140 is your choice.
