Hello Dave,
In Spring of this year I purchased a 110. I sent it in for repair short after and I was told it ran fine which is true, except for the idle. Today I flew a new YS63 for the first time and this engine is a total blast and runs considerable better than the 110 ever did, out of the box.
The 110 is about 3/4 of a year old and has never been out of the cowling since I received it back. The 12oz tank is located on the CG about 10" behind and 1" lower than the engine. It runs on CP 30% and an APC 16x6 @ 9600 rpm. Idle after full throttle holds rpm only for some seconds and then slowly drops to 1500 before it dies. On the ground it floods, during flight it runs reasonable without dead sticks, but not very consistent. If I lean it out it dies during flight which happened over 10 times the first month I had this engine. Of the 7 (4x 4c) engines I own this is the only one running poor, the 63 performs best.
Can I send it in again for a better inspection?
Thanks,
Martin

It may have a leaking crankcase, and it sounds like the regulator either has debris in it or is stuck.
Send it back with a note saying that they repaired it earlier and that it is still acting up.

Troy, you seem to be the new YS guy :-)
I sent my 110 in for the 2nd time and according to USPS it arrived last week Saturday. Can you check please if it has been received in good order? I hope it can be fixed this time. This engine has always been a pain in the neck. No hurry for the repair.
Thanks!

I'm not at the YS Parts and Service or YS Performance facility. I live in AZ and currently just filling in for Dave and Richard on RCU.
However I know Richard is busy since they moved the shop. I would email hima nd he should get back with you. If not I'll try to help you from my end.
