Default 160 DZ head trouble

Hi Troy,
the picture shows what hapened to one of my dingos head.
Is this a common issue?
Mounted on a Genesis and running it on Cool Power 30%.
What do you think could have happen?
What can I do to prevent this to happen again?

Regards,
Patricio.

Patricio,

I can't tell totally what it is that I'm seeing. It looks like the exhaust valve is dropped down but it doesn't look like its just the valve. Is the Valve seat also sticking out?

Not sure what would have caused it. I would say contact your importer for the engines or contact YS Japan. If you got the engine from the USA then you can get in touch with Richard at

www.yspartsandservice.com

But they are importers for North America and they don't do the warranty work for YS japan. I have never seen a valve fail like that before. Sure I bet there have been some but I have never seen it.

The valve seat is pressed into the head. If the seat and all "fell out" I would think its a warranty issue. Not sure who does the importing for your country.

Troy,
you are right, it´s the valve seat that came out.
I bought the motor to Radio South, so I´ll make contact with Richad.

Regards,
Patricio.

That would be the thing to do.

Richard should be able to fix you up.

Funny, my brand new YS 140 Sport had the same exact problem. Sent it in under warranty and got a new head installed for free. Really weird was how mine fell out after I landed and shut it down. Uneven colling maybe? No idea.

Same thing happened to my 160 also after abouy 15 gallons of fuel. Sent it back to YS Japan and they repaired it pronto.
