Hi, yesterday my YS 63 S, 1 year old, about 30 flights "seized" in mid-air.
Haven't opened the engine yet, but can not turn the prop anymore and when i removed the glow plug it had tiny metallic particels sticking to it. My first guess is that one of the ball bearings is broken, hopefully it didn't destroy the engine which was really running great.
Always looked after the engine very well. Running it on a APC 12x7 and Coolpower Pattern Pro 20% nitro, anything wrong with that ?

No fuel and prop are good.
It could of had a failure of some sort. Contact your Importer of Yamada engines and see if they can get it repaired for you.

Hi Troy,
Thanks for the swift reply !
Good to hear the prop-fuel combination are ok since i have 2 more .63's and was worried.
There's no importer in my country, i got the engine via Chief Aircraft. i'm afraid the shipping/repairing cost would be higher than buying a replacement engine.
Should still be warranty, but difficult to claim i guess looking at the problem.
I'm able to repair myselve, just need the spares. Any good source for those ?
Regards,
Ronny

Contact Richard Verano at

if the engine came through the USA then he would be able to help you out.....You might be surprised at the repairs.....
If its a warranty issue the the cost to you might be only shipping. Contact him and he can lead in the right direction.
