Default Differences between 140-sport and 140 DZ

Hi there.

I have a 140-sport in a X-Tech Yak-54 that is almost complete. I have had the motor from new and it is excellent. What are the main differences between this and the 140 DZ and the rough power output from both motors.
Plus I am looking to run an 18x6 on my 140 sport due to the Yak having such a big fat round cowl, do you think that an 18x6 is too big?
It has a 17x6 APC on at the moment. I just want more available prop wash over the model.
It is running on Model Technics 30% Yamada fuel

See this link and it describes the differences

The 140DZ is about 400 to 500 rpm more on the same prop and fuel than the 140FZ

This is about 2 prop sizes.....16-10 or 16-11 on the FZ and then you go to a 16-12 to 16.5-12W are maybe a 17-12N on the 140 Dingo. As for HP rating they are all hogwash and mean nothing really. There is the sticky link above in the forum and it shows HP ratings. The only one I don't agree with and this is just comparison is the 140L....It is not the same power and the 140DZ at 3.0HP its back closer to the 140 Sport or 140FZ. Does that mean the 140L is 2.8HP and the DZ is 3.0 I have no idea I just know that the 140DZ has a little more than the 140L. The HP ratings are reference only and only compare the motors from the same manufacturer. They really mean nothing.

As for the 18-6 I don't know....keep the rpms in the right range and it will work well. The 140's should run about 8400-8600 rpm for best performance. If you load it down too much the engine will be hard on parts.

I was wondering the same thing, but don't see the link. Did the forum mods kill it? Please repost if they did not.
