I just got off the phone with a shop looking for a price on the YS.63. They told me this engine is not currently available as YS is redesigning it. Can you shed any light on this statement? It's the first I had heard of such a thing.

There are always rumors started by people who should know better.
The 63 is ALWAYS in short supply. The YS factory is small and can only produce X number of engines each year. It's a problem with all the YS engines, we just can't ever get enough.
If you want a YS engine and can't find one, put an order in with your favorite supplier and hang in there!
