Default YS Performance Service

I emailed Troy privately first earlier this week with no response on my question. I have been having problems contacting anyone at YS Performance. I sent an engine (140DZ) back to them that they had gone through replacing bearings and installing a new pump. I could not get it to run when I received it back. It was my main engine so I pulled it back out of my Shadow and installed my spare, which they had also worked on and replaced a piston, ring, bearings and an intake adjusting screw. That engine ran fine with a slight tweek of the pump.

They received the engine on July 19th and we are two days short of it being a month (8/17/2007) of them having it. They have not called or emailed which is unlike the service I have received in the past from Richard. I have emailed several times, called and left messages and called today to find the shop was closed all day (Friday).

Is anyone else having problems with communication with them? Has something changed within their business?

Patrnflier-
I just spoke with Richard the other day, he mentioned that they have a local pattern contest that YS is sponsoring this weekend so I would bet that is why the shop is closed today. If it were my motor I would contact Richard again after the weekend - everytime I have dealt with him he has always been more than helpful. (775) 267-9252. I've noticed that Troy hasn't responed to some posts lately so I would believe that he is out for a few days as well...... but that is a guess as well. Good luck.

I received an reply to my email to Troy this morning. He was at Richards house for the pattern contest this weekend and is checking on it for me.

I finally was able to reach Richard Verano on Tuesday by phone. FYI their pattern meet was held this past weekend in 30mph crosswinds! Anyway, he found my problem which was a crankshaft issue that he had not caught when the engine was originally serviced. I wanted to pay for the parts and service but he insisted that since he missed it he would cover the repair! He is running behind a bit so if any of you have an engine in for service, they are working on getting through them. Mine had been there four weeks so FYI it will take a while right now.

All I can say is I am a happy YS owner and I can not argue with how Richard is handling my repair.
