Default Simple question about YS 110

As I was putting together my YS 110 two days ago, I realized that there must be an exact position for the cam gear to be. How do I find this point? I think this may be the only reason why my engine has no compression when I spin it clockwise.

Sorry about my english and my stupid question, it's probably very simple.

The rear of the crank has a dot and it goes straight down...6 o'clock This puts the piston just coming to TDC.

The cam has a dot on one side of it.
The cam dot goes straight up at 12 o'clock.
