Hi, just started to run my 160 , filled the tank, choked the carb, 5 turns on the prop, gave it the glow , started first time on the starter, ran the tank out. 2nd tank, same thing, leaned top end to max rpm, then backed of 2 clicks. Its now maxes out at 8300. ticks over at 2000. & starts first time. Great powefull engine. Running on 10% coolpower, slimline muffler, 20 x6 carbon prop .paul.

Paul,
great to hear. Usually the first post on here is a problem. Then we can usually fix it and it turns good on the ending.
As with all support forums most guys go there when there is a problem. This is usually a small percentage of the guys. Most don't have issues, and its good to have you post your success as well. Makes it more fun that dealing with trouble engines.
The goal is to always end up where you are with your engine and hopefully I help guys get there using this forum.
Thanks for the post and enjoy.

Troy,
My interest is the YS 160 or the YS 170. Website has weight in grams. Can you help me with this?
I would like to turn a three blade for scale appearence. Model calls for a 3" spinner.
I'm scratching a 1/6 scale model of the AG Cat 164 B Turbine. That's 80" with a 9.5" cord. I'll cheat and probably go with 76".
Because of the long nose moment, I'm looking to put as little weight, in an engine, as possible in the nose. Understandable. This model will weigh in at, at least 15 to 18 lbs. I've no experience with YS 4S Engines.
Please see photo.
Thanks in advance,
Charles
