Hi pattern nut,

To answer your question, if you can tune your 160, and be able to tell when its rich or lean, then fit the velocity stack and try it. If you can't tune your engine as a lot of guys can't, then here is a good chance to learn. We all have to start somewhere.
If you search back through previous post's all of your questions will be answered.

As Troy is no longer on this site, you guys have to learn to do things yourself, and there are plenty of guys still on this site with experiance who can help, what one dosn't know, someone else will.

As far as I know, the velocity stack restricts airflow. If this is correct, it would cause the current setting to become richer. You may have to lean it a few clicks to experience the fuel savings and increased RPMs.

In my experience with both the 9mm and 10mm velocity stacks, from no needle change to 2 clicks leaner was all okay.

Thanks. I got the vs a day before going to a contest and opted to leave it off for the weekend.I was just curious if it was a major retune. Thanks Jim

I installed one on mine, just because it gives you a better throttle curve, but the engine looses power, so my suggestion is to do what it did, don't use the VS and make the correction on the throttle curve in your radio.

For me, to loose power makes no sense when you can correct the [roblem with the radio.
