Default concerned

hi Dave. first off i do want to thank you guys at ys performance for putting my 120FZ back together after that horrible crash!! I do have some concerns though, i put it on new plane and was trying to get it to run right and couldn't, so i took off the regulator and everything looked fine, also i use ys 20/20 fuel and type f plug. the engine was running way lean and the needle and regulator were way out to try to get it to run rich but couldn't get it to run right, took the valve cover off and noticed that its the same head from crash, valve cover screw holes are broke so you put longer screws, and the gasket was old and hard, next i found that the exhaust valve was way loose, about 16th inch gap, so i re set them to .003" I just don't know how it was left like that from your repair shop, also the valve cover mounting surface is not flat, so i had to use gasket maker to seal it properly. It now runs like a champ again, but i was just concerned as to why it came back to me like that after i paid 280.00 to fix it? what is the part number for the better gasket for the valve cover?

Unfortunately, I am not the guy who does the service on the engines. I will forward this to service as I know they will be very concerned as well. Please let me know your name by e-mailing me at [email protected]

Sorry for the problems.

Dave

I am not trying to be mean or anything as i love my ys engine and you guys did fix it even though normally you wouldnt fix a engine with that much damage. Mark stevenson convinced you guys, and i am glad as i have my favorite engine back and running great. love those ultrathrust mufflers too. thanks.
