Default New 140L

Hello Dave,

Helped a friend with initial runs on a new 140L. Top end and transition performed in typical YS form. Initial needle settings were high speed approx. 1 1/4 turns and air bleed at 2 1/2 turns. With these settings after idling for 5-7 seconds the engine dies abruptly. This symptom repeated itself with the air bleed set at 1 turn or at 3 1/2 turns. We also try a fresh plug with no change in the symptom.

What should we check before considering sending it in for evaluation?

Fuel -- Magnum 1
Prop -- APC 16X11
Plug -- OS type F

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Glen

Just for grins, check the valve clearance.
