Default Tuning the DZ's

Are the DZ's tuned in a similar way to the FZ's.

On the DZ it's best to go from the bottom end up rather than the top end down. The idle and transition are adjusted with the pump, making adjustments 1/8 turn at a time. To richen the lower end, turn the pump adjustment Clockwise, to lean the mixture, turn it Counter-Clockwise. Then adjust the high end for max RPM's, then richen to drop the RPMs 300 off of max RPM (a click or two). Most DZ's run just slightly in from flush on the pump adjustment compared to the housing, and the high speed needle around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns out. Hope this helps.
