I am having somwhat similar problems as a recent post with my YS63. My engine has about two gallons run through it. It has been running fine up until last week. It will idle fine and run at full throttle okay, but will not run at mid range. I can fly straight and level and it sputters the whole time. I have not changed props or anything. I am running at 1 3/4 turns on the needle valve. I did re-set the valves but it did not help.

Any suggestions?

I haven't done anything to the regulator yet. I have tried setting it before on other engines and haven't had much success. What should I do? I wonder if I should take it apart and see if any trash is in it.

Don't be afraid to change the reg. It sounds as though it may be too rich, but try adjusting it a little at a time. If it doesn't work out you can always put it back where it was.
