Default YS 53 Problem

I just acquired a YS 53 from a friend. I had to send the head off to get the exhust port re-tapped...it was in a crash and stripped out. Also both valve rods were slightly bent...which I replaced and set the correct tappet gap. I started the engine and I am having a hard time getting a smooth idle—idle to full throttle transition. I am running wildcat 20% YS fuel. Is there a proceeder to tune in this engine? Someone also told me that the low end adjustment turns opposite of the high end for adjustment—is this true? Please clarify which direction you rotate the low end is leaner or richer.

Thanks,

Larry
