ys 53 bubbles

Hello,

I love my ys own two of them.Trying to figure out why my 53 has bubbles in the line going from the regulator to the carb. The engine will some times go lean during transition only about half way throuh my flight.I replaced all the gaskets and o'rings and thought I had it licked but second day out bubles re-appeared only in that line.I see a steady plume of exhaust when flying which normally tells me eveything is o/k.But lately it's not there after half way trhough my flight.I don't think it's my tank.I don't see bubbles there and the pressure seems to be there but not as high as I used to remeber.ANY IDEAS?

Thx

Some bubbles are normal, and not a problem. If it is going lean at half tank, I would re-plumb the system. Bubbles can also be a problem to engines which are high operating time due to internal wear. Does your engine have a lot of running time?

HI running time?I don't know. What do consider high time?I have owned the motor since new for approximetly 3 to 4 years with 20 to 30 flights a season.Does that give an idea.I love this little power house.Have had some good fun with it.I wil replumb this week and see what I come up with.Thx for your quick response!!

Engines that leak compression from blowby will make the regulator go nuts. Could be your problem.
