I have eliminated the deadstick problem with my ZDZ 50 (knock on wood). I still have one issue I cannot figure out. The first run of the day is usually fine but the second start up and subsequent runs, the engine will start and idle but will die if the throttle is advanced. If I SLOWLY andvance it in 2-3 click incriments to full, the rest of the flight it will run and transition falwlessly but it has to be coaxed into one transition first. I am confident the needles are set correctly and the engine runs great but its a real pain to get it to transition to full throttle one time but once it does it runs great. Any ideas? I was thinking it was a possible plug problem but I have changed the plug three times and it still does the same thing. Do you think it might be a problem with the ignition module? The engine has about 3 gallons through it.

Engines sounds like it is flooding and pooled fuel needs to be run out. Try starting by Ignition OFF, Full throttle, full choke, flip 5 times. OPEN Choke, Open throttle, NO ignition, flip 5 more times. Reduce power to hi trim, Ignition ON, flip once. You might need to still cl;ear it out, whih is typical.

I will give it a try. A buddy of mine with the same engine except his is the NG has the same problem and it has also just recently started doing it in my ZDZ 80. I was wondering if it could have something to do with sitting in the Florida heat/ sun between flights maybe vapor lock or something.
