Default ZDZ100NG Ignition repair.

Mike, in a crash that did not result in a prop strike, the ignition battery wire was pulled out from the case. I am wondering if you can repair it and give me an estimated price as well as an estimated time for return. Engine was running perfectly and very easy to restart by the way. Any suggestions for storing the engine for a period of time? Maybe 2 to 4 months? I won't be able to replace the airframe for a while. Thanks for your help.

Kevin, Unfortunately the ignition units are not repairable. Replacements are 145.00. Recommend getting some Stabil fuel stabilizer, add it to your fuel, and run some through the engine, then store in a Ziploc bag.
Thanks!

Mike, I don't mean to be dense or disrespectful at all. The only damage to the ignition is the battery wire was pulled loose at the ignition case. You can see small bits of wire sticking out from the case. Is there way to open the case and solder wires back on? $145.00 to replace the ignition or $2.00 to repair or replace the wires? I am definately not looking for warranty work, just a better solution than throwing $145.00 away.
