Default Filter on vent line ok?

Since fuel filters are not recommended on these engines, is putting one on the vent line ok? That way since the fuel in only filtered as the tank is filled, no debris would get into the tank via the vent line (and then none would get into the engine).

Also is a loop ok in the vent to keep fuel from spilling out of the tank when the plane is tipped forward?

Thanks,
Joe

Joe, Yes to all. Use a good screen type filter and a loop is OK.
Thanks,

Wow, I've never heard anything about not using a fuel filter. I didn't get a manual. I've been using a fuel filter on my ZDZ 40 for a couple of years and have not had a problem. What is the reasoning for no filter?
