Default ZDZ 40B Odd behavior

When the engine is first started cold it will idle at 1800-1900 rpm for as long as I leave it running. If I then go to full throttle for a few seconds and then return to idle the engine will return to the same 1800-1900 rpm. Then 5 seconds later like clock work the engine misses a beat and about dies. It will keep doing this like clock work every 4 seconds for a couple of minutes before it dies. I have run three tanks on the engine using the recommended penzoil oil for break in. It has been doing this since I first started breaking the engine in. I figured the engine just needed some time, but now after my third tank I'm starting to get worried. I started checking all of my connections, checked for leaks and bubbles in the fuel line, but found nothing unusual. Then I found something unusual when I started looking at the timing. The falkon ignition directions recommend the quick start setting for the timing to be 7mm from TDC. My plastic holder for my hall sensor only has enough travel to reach 6mm from TDC. Could someone please clarify if this is a problem and if it is related to my idling issue.
