Vendetta. I think it was originally made by Yokomo or Anderson, anyway its a great performer, needs better batery pack but then is fast, durable and Fuuuun to drive. Handles well too, much much better than RC18b

RC18B

Maybe for larger scales, but the mini's have a great repitation. The Vendetta is FAR superior to the rc18b.

vendetta or propulse the rc18 series has very very crappy electronics, vendettas are a great choice, even though i would rather have a pro-pulse mt

i think he should look at parts support that he has. if there are no hobby shops and no internet, radio shack may be his best bet. if there are hobby shops near, he needs to look at what the carry parts for. not much fun looking at a broken toy sitting in the closet and no way to fix it.

there is so much hating on the pro pulse on this forum, i dont understand it. its a good product that is made by an actual hobby company (its made by megatech, not radioshack). the only problem with the propulse is its hard to find replacement parts right now for them because they are still so new. i say give this thing some time to get aftermarket support and it will be able to easily compete with the rc18t. i dont even own a propulse, but i have played with one and i can say that it is much nice than a stock rtr rc18t or mini t, the radio sucks, but what do you expect from a 1/18 rtr? if there were more parts available right now i would say get that, but since there arent i am gonna have to go with the trusty rc18, i have one and its great after you fix the slop in the steering with a dp drag link or similar mod

you know, i picked one up for my dad's xmas and did get to look it over briefly. i'm really liking the shock towers on it. they look better than the rc18's to me and the biggest thing is the body posts. nice and thick! looks kind of funny with the buggy body, but i can deal with that.

I would say Vendetta , its built really well and you can run 1/10 scale sedan road tires on it with no mods . Parts support is pretty weak and Duratrax is the only one making hop up parts for it . The RC18b is a little more fragile but there is ALOT of aftermarket support for it .

Not true, in addition to Duratrax, Atomic, Yeah Racing, and Anderson all make hop ups for this car. If you can't find the hop up on Tower or Stormer Hobbies, then you can get anything you need from RCMart.com.

Here's a pic of some of the hop ups I've done so far. Best ride I've ever had.

Thanks

Darin

I would skip the inferno unless you want to dump alot of cash into it (I have one and 'am unimpressed with it, stock with 8 cells). The Vendetta eats it up (out the box).
