Well, it's no different than whacking a baseball through a window. Most of those multirotors are just cheap toys that won't last long. It is the big camera carrying ones that present a much greater danger.

You have a real point...what's wrong with people nowadays??? When I was growing up it was hunting and fishing that was the great pastime... went just about everywhere with my shotgun or rifle... As I walked along the road people would often honk and wave with a great big smile... Now, some kid gets a wirly-gig out and people have a conniption... Man, people are just screwed up now...or is it just the perciefied few that are so voicetress that make me think we are so screwed??? Anyway, good post.

Ah, "status" warfare, just like "class warfare", only not.

If all else fails, attack. Got nothing of substance to say, try to elevate your own status while trying to cast doubt on someone else because what, they don't stick build? I could case less, nor should you, as if that has any bearing on a discussion about the AMA. Transparent and desperate, conduct unbecoming as well. But par for the course.

With each post of that nature, it's crystal clear the voters made the right decision. For the second time too!

The AMA is very much needed, as are good people to run it.

It should be an interesting and challenging year for the leadership team.

I'll go in and update it and make it worse, I'll still be a beginner, only now I'll put that I've graduated to Air Hogs, hoping to someday get to the rubber band models. Weird is right. I think I filled in what I was supposed to, but who can remember 6 years ago. Updating the profile, adding sig lines with positions held, prior jobs etc, just barely a step above chest thumping and face book pokes and friends etc. Funny stuff.

Are you talking about Hoss and Crank? Gaflies sounds like an old fashioned word, or perhaps a newfangled one, either way I'm not familiar with it. If memory serves Crank and I are not always on the same page opinion wise, but not sure that matters. I'm a proud member of AMA, and then some! I don't know that they serve every purpose for every member, but I don't think any operation comes close to them in terms of what they do for the hobby.

Here here Portia. Can someone name one organization that gets it "right" (that's a loaded word) 100% of the time with 100% of its members?

The old AMA insurance debate..........................

I have homeowners so for me AMA is secondary, BUT THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE FOR ME. Considering the flying and building skills of some of the guys at the flying field, it is good to know that they have either primary (HO) or secondary (AMA) insurance for when they inevitably crash into the pits or parking area and damage me or my things.................................

If you are in an AMA club I know that you know a few flyers that when they take off everybody runs for shelter........................ thank GOD they are insured !!!!

Yep, socialism is awesome! No longer do we as individuals need to take steps to assure our own well being...just "accept the plan"... No longer do we need to pick up our feet up and watch where we put them down...just mindlessly shuffle around in a stupor induced daze... Yep, our society now... Can I have an Amen?? We finally made it...it was a struggle but with enough whining, it's now done.

Actually, what Brad was describing is anarchy. You know, make the government small enough to drown in the bathtub, then drown it. Socialism has rules to follow. At our club nobody flies alone, without a buddy box, until they have passed a qualification test. We don't have to duck for cover at all.

I don't care how much insurance people have if I'm Dead because they're STUPID,Incompetment or both. Like JohnShe said about anyone in his club has to pass a test to fly alone. There is one club out of 5 or 6 in the Milwaukee area that does that. I suggested it at one of the clubs I fly at and damn near got HUNG. of course I wanted to make it retro for a number of club members.
Ever notice it's almost the same people crashing and flying unsafely .... Go Figure.

Don't really care if they crash on the runway site of the safety fence but when they become DANGEROUS Then I go overboard in to safety mode. I don't really care if "We're all here to have fun" it ain't gona be fun when someone gets killed.
If something is said it's never never to any one in the IN CROWD click.
