Hello!!!

Just another suggestion for a plane. How about a German Natter with Rocket Engine?

Actually I was thinking a .40 Spitfire with Retracts and Flaps. I'll willingly pay $250 for one with GOOD retracts, not like those cheapo Hangar 9 ones.

The WAAHCO looks great, would love to see one in a arc or base color only arf. White would be perfect for triming out.

Have fun testing

I have had the pleasure of owning 4 wonderful Kangke planes. I am on of those modeler's that like to have something different than everyone else at the field. So I started out with an Astro Trainer H-40. It went together easily, and flew perfectly on the first flight. I soloed on my third flight, and within 3 weeks I was flying circles around one of my buddies who decided to buy a H-9 Alpha. (PS the Alpha had the fire wall fall out during engine break-in, and the tail came apart after 5 flights.) My Astro never had a single problem, until I put it in a tree.
So I moved on to a SK-50 fun fly. It was just that, fun to fly! I regularly sing the praises of Kangke products at my local field. But after 4 kangke models I had reached a point where I felt I needed to go else where to find my next model. I fell in love with the Sport Aviation Waco 60. I was about to order. But Wait, What's this I see? Kangke is about to release a big beautiful Waco. It's like you read my mind. So in conclusion I will echo an earlier reply. If you build it.... I will buy....

Overworked,

A friend of mine just ordered a Monocoupe, last week. It arrived in time for the weekend, we were both amazed at its construction and detail. He is into the whole 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s era of flying machines. Myself, I am into a wider range of planes, I like stunt aircraft, scale warbirds and bipes. I am looking and hoping you would come out with a classic looking bipe, you asked size suggestions. I would suggest wingspan of 155 cm. and fuselage length of 150.5 cm.

ramseyj,
The Waco is in production, we should see the first shipment in about 20 days. this will be a small run, and from what I understand it's already sold out. We will check them to be sure nothing got changed from the proto type and if all is well do a run of a few hundred that we should see in about 45 days.
For those of you waiting, after the first run gets here I'll still need about a week to write the instructions. The plane will be on display at the WRAM show and again in Toledo, stop by the booth and take a look. .

wldcwbypilot,
Stick around guy, we have a surprise coming for you. .

Yea overworked,
How about a Hawker Typhoon? This is an overlooked WW2 plane. You can get it from Vally Avaition 96"span or a smaller one from another guy.
How about a 80 in. or so span for a Moki or DA,ZDZ,BME50 ect.
This is my favorite WW2 plane!!!
Thanks
Frank

I understand the red, it's almost impossible to see and orientate a black and silver color scheme in flight. I'd buy one if it was good construction. Bob

When will your second run of Wacos be out? Snoopy or a likeness of Will Rogers in the cockpit would be cool!!!

robert waldo,
for a look at the structure check post #48 in this thread.

wldcwbypilot,
I can't give an exact date until we inspect the first run for problems, but if all goes well we should have stock by mid April.

I... find the Wilga on this page strangely appealing.
I have seen a Wilga on floats! Not sure how it got to a lake in Maine. I also understand that the Wilga is used as a glider towplane. A large ARF Wilga would make an excellent large model glider towplane too. Here is a three view of the latest configuration, the Wilga 2000 with a flat 6 engine:

I wish you would make more scale planes and less aerobatic planes the world is fullof them.there are by far more aerobatic planes in arfs than any thing else.make the waco and a 80in P40

Any chance this ARF will utilize 4 aileron servos instead of linking the upper and lower ailerons? Any update on shipping dates? I've got my ZDZ 40 ready!

What do you think about putting a saito 300t twin in the waco. I have recently acquired this engine and am looking for a plane to put it in.

I have one also. I have not put it in a plane yet but have bench run it. I think it would be WAY too much engine for this plane.

I agree it probably would be too much engine. I am just not sure what else to put it in.

How about a 170 Radial?

It will fit in the cowl and look great doing it.

I have one I am putting in my Kangke Monocoupe. There is a test in the Review section of RCU and they have a video of the Monocoupe with th Radial flying. It pulls it around with authority.

Just a thought.

Sorry, but I disagree. The Waco was designed for a 2.4 Gas engine and I don't think the 300 IS THAT MUCH STRONGER-I may be wrong, but I have owned the 270 Saito and I don't remember that much difference between it and my Brison 2.4, US 41, or Qurta 42. This model is after Jimmy Franklin's Mystery Ship (with the rocket attached to the bottom)-- anybody ever seen him fly??????

Default RE: Kangke Waco Biplane

what does a typical 2.4 gas engine weigh? The Saito 300 is only 4 pounds. I can always throttle back.
I was thinking of getting the waco for my saito 300T because of how different it looks compared to all the Christen Eagles and Pitts' out there. My club this year has 4 Christen Eagles (and there are only 25 people in my club). Plus, the large cowl would likely conceal most of the big twin engine. Any other thoughts on whether this engine would be appropriate for the Waco would be appreciated.
