I have tried to email the administrators several times and all I get are crickets. Is anyone still running RCU?
Do the 1st two and the last two posts show pics and videos?
The pictures I posted were all on the same jpeg format. Rc Universe is just not the same as it used to be.

Does anyone have the assembly instructions for the CM Pro Cessna 182 Skylane 140 (2100 mm span or 82.7"). Will appreciate a PDF or JPG
I have one that has been lying with me un-built for many years. Finally decided to build it but find the assembly instruction manual missing.
Planning on putting a DLE 20 RA on it - any comments? Also keen on knowing about modifications to rudder control - stock option doesn't look too good.

I have noticed that the nose gear strut on most seem to be mounted straight down. The nose gear of the 182 is actually mounted with about a 15 degree forward rake. My brother who was an engineer at Cessna said the forward rake reduced the rearward stress on the nose gear about 30-35 precent. I owned a 1976 182P for 15 years and put about 3,000 hours on it. On the full size the nose gear needed to be handled with care. I always tried to land on the main gear and hold off the nose gear until the plane slowed, setting the nose wheel gently on the ground. On take offs tried to hold back elevators at the beginning to keep weight off the nose gear during initial acceleration. Always taxied (weather permitting) with full back elevator to keep stress off the nose gear. Also the prop higher off ground to lessen picking up debris. Nose wheel locked straight when fully extended so some times had to tap the breaks to make turns. If the bushings got worn and shimmy dampener also worn, nose gear could develop a violent shimmy. When this happened the nose pant was often damaged. That is why you see a lot w/o nose pants. Only makes about 2kts difference.
182 was/is a great airplane. It could have been faster and used less fuel. Has STC for car gas. It would carry about all you could load in it, had a large cg range. Had 80 gallon tanks so a long range. Steady instrument platform. Had HSI, Storm Scope, and coupled auto pilot. As airplanes go it was fairly low maintenance. Still, when my situation changed and couldn't write off as business expense, couldn't afford and had no pressing need for it. Still miss it after 20 years. There is nothing like being able to go to the local airport and go where you want, when you want.

Need help need manual
I purchased this plane last year but I am missing the manual. If someone would be kind enough to scan it and email it to me I would be very grateful. Or if someone could point me somewhere where I may download it.
thanks much

Just a FYI for those still building the CMP I was flying mine yesterday and it was doing fine then it started to spin and headed for the ground. Best guess is the factory servo tray broke loose causing loss of control. You may want to add a little epoxy to the glue joints for safety. It was fun while it lasted.

CMP Cessna 120 Wing Tube
Hello fellow modelers,
I am looking for some assistance with my CMP Cessna 120 size.
Could someone please tell me what are the dimensions of the wing tube. I am looking for the length and outside dimensions of the aluminum tube used to join the main wings. Also if you know where I could purchase it. I purchased this kit years ago and seem to have misplaced the wing joiner tube.
Thanks much
Lionel

My cessna already crashed. I was lucky owner for 6 years with hundreds of flights but finally sold plane to friend of mine. He stalled plane in very first flight...Problem was that he is experienced only with aerobatic planes. Cm pro Cessna is completely diffrent bird to fly...
