Classic Text Only RCU
So why would anyone want to post silly images anyhow? Images just clog up the works, people start looking at them, tell their friends and then they start looking at them. Then it all snowballs and loads down the system. With the images all over the place, vendors start advertising, people start clicking on the ads and that loads the system even more. All the image uploads drives the database admins nuts indexing all the images and it is all downhill from there.
We could just switch over to dumb green screen TTY terminals and describe word pictures. Life is so much simpler without images. No need for high speed Internet! Text only takes us back to the days of classic pattern before we had digital images, it all works! I think I’m on to a new but old concept. Plus RCU would not need to fix the image upload that has been broken for days.

Yeah, we could also go back to the time Internet was dial up, or even better we could all talk from the kitchen land line.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Let RCU fix the bug.

I wrote this as Tongue-in-cheek type joke, but the more I thought about it the more I realized it was dumb of me to keep struggling with something that does not work 75% the time. It is one thing to have problems reading threads, but when you are trying to create them the problems are too frustrating and using way too much of my time. Like you say it a BBS!

This is how I think about the situation,
Modelers are accustomed to adversity, so why all these negetive waves?

Embarrassing for RCU here I would think, although a lot of this is humor. Loosing such a beloved member and builder (and website visits) is stupid.
