Hey Chuck, Good job! You might want to consider dropping my old thread: Curare - Repro of Curare Kit build thread?:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5741741/tm.htm
from the list, as I moved it over to the composites forum and that project is on hold untill the spring at least.

Anyone have an idea where I might purchase a Curare 60 kit or plans. This thread appears to be out dated but the last note was last spring so maybe someone out there can help. Thanks loads

Now that I have the Chaos finished except for tossing out the old leaky Rhom retracts and installing new spring air I went ahead and ordered a short kit Curare from Eureka last week. Should be here in another week or so. He's waiting on a supply of balsa. I'm thinking about Spring air retracts again. Any comments on Spring air v. Robart. I am also thinking about an OS 61 FX. In late '70s when I got into RC I had a couple other makes of engines but could not keep running in air. Went to OS then and haven't owned anything else since, even in the 4 stoke type. However, since I will need to purchase another engine, any suggestions on something cheeper.

YS.

Very cool engines. You'll have to look for one though as they only produce 4c engines now. You'd want a 61 FS for a Curare. Another nice choice would be an OS 61 SF-PABC. A little louder than the FX but a nicer engine overall. About $50 more than an FX on auction. OSSF-P and YS FS would be around the same price ~$200.

Oh, you wanted something cheaper. The Webra's should be a little less. Of course you could also buy a Chinese engine (Tower or GMS) but Ihave no experience with those so it's hard to recommend them.
