Sorry to hear all you guys have to pay for your Dr & hospital bills. I get all mine for free, and money too. All you had to do is get Prostate Cancer from Agent Orange in Vietnam. I remember seeing all these barrels in Danang airbase. I walked right in front of them. I thought it was lube for the planes. I'm still finding problems.

Holy smoke thats un real . How many people dont go to the docs and end up with life threatening issues that could be nipped in the bud . Seems like a false economy but what would I know . Whats the cost if u go to hospital ? Here its free if u dont have private health cover .

How does $62,000 sound for a Cath Lab. The one where they stick a snake in your arm or leg to look at your heart vessels? No more than 6 hours in and out. Those idiot in office have no clue of actual health care costs, its just a collusion with insurance companies to stick it to the little guys. They did NOTHING to curb the actual costs of health care. What do they care, they don't have to be on it, they have their own free health care for life.

Healthcare costs will never go down until we institute price controls, make all insurance regulation nation wide and not different in every state (Is there anything more stupid than having 51 sets of insurance rules?), and allow the fed to negotiate drug prices for medicaid and the other federal agencies.

With you 100%!! This is what SHOULD have been done for the ACA, and had it been done so, I would gladly call it Obamacare, but I refuse to give him any credit for that fiasco he signed.

Not sure how many of you guys remember this. When Bill Clinton was in Office, Hillary came up with the best health care plan that was the best thing even done.. Everybody was covered. The problem was it put all the health care insurance company's out of business. Only one was needed, just to do the paperwork. Also the people with all the money didn't want it, because they didn't want to pay for other people's insurance. There was enough money in the existing system that covered everybody 100%. It got trashed. If she would have one the presidency and the congress had been mostly democratic. She probably would have brought that back. The insurance company's could have bid on which one would have run it. All they had to do is follow the rules that the government made up. We have the best country that money can buy. If you ain't go no money, your screwed. Until we get term limits in congress, and change the regulations that keep there asses in there, nothing is going to change. The bad side is there are some fantastic people in congress, unfortunately there out numbered by idiots. I would love to see Senator Bill Nelson run for president. It's amazing how they have changed the understanding of the Constitution.

Talking of people serving their country, we were cutting grass at the flying field yesterday. A belt detached itself from one of the mowers but an international team from Belgium, Holland, France and England managed to refit it! After we had achieved this and were back in the club hut rewarding ourselves with a beer, the club's oldest member, Francois, came up with an idea. His grandfather had been killed at the controls of his Farman 11 bomber on 15th December 1915 while he was returning from a raid on Germany. Francois proposed to build a replica of his grandfather's aircraft and fly it on 11th November 1918. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farman_MF.11

The weather is not always kind to aeromodellers in central France in November. If it's not raining or blowing a gale, there's fog everywhere so a WW1 Fly In was suggested for either 28th July or 8th August which would commemorate the centenary of the start of the Great Advances of the French and British Armies respectively.

My wife and I will be married 50 years next year. Buy the end of this year were hoping she's done with all the cancer treatment, and we get moved out of the hell hole of Orlando. Were still staying in Florida, just not sure yet. Next year were looking to go on the honeymoon we never had when we got married. Were talking on going to Europe, and going to France, Germany, England, and Italy. Spending most of out time in Sicily. About the only place I ever been to was Holy Lock Scotland. I was there for 27 hours. It was so cold, wet, and windy, a deep freezer, would have probably been better. After that, we have also considered going to Australia. There is another modeler there I been talking too, for some time now.

If I had the money I would like to take the wife on one of those river cruises in Germany and see all the sites. Her grandparents and great grandparents were mostly all German immigrants. I would like to see some of the sites of the Reformation.

I just got an email today from a friend in Australia, he sent me a movie showing how they put RC fields in Australia. How do you attach a video on here? If I click on "Insert Video" is wants to add a URL website.

Glad to hear that the RAF helped you on a mission of mercy.

However, I went to the base to give the crew a bottle of champagne. The guard took the bottle from me and in order to turn my car round, I had to drive through the entry gate, then turn across the roundabout in the wrong direction to leave immediately through the exit gate. By driving in this way the guard could see me all the time. Security or what?
IMO, would have been better if you called ahead, made contact with one of the airmen or their supervisor. Then, when you approached, the guard would have anticipated you, probably gotten a pass and directions to their squadron building, or one of the airmen escort you to their building.

I don't think you can upload a video. Instead, you upload to YouTube or another video site. Use the URL for that video.

Actually I did call ahead. I phoned the Squadron Leader to arrange for the delivery but he didn't offer me a pass. They drank the champagne the same day to celebrate the success of two trainees who had successfully completed their courses. The Squadron Leader's surname was Barton. All Bartons in the British Armed Services are invariably called "Dick" after a famous series about a private investigator who was popular on BBC radio in the early 1950s!

I stuck his name on the side of the Super 60 once I'd repaired it.

No, they frequently flew their helicopters around the model flying field on training flights, so the search for my model was incorporated into a routine flight.

Interesting, I stand corrected. The good is you got your aeroplane back.

I once had a very odd interview with one of the big name electrical utility companies. The general manager, with similar propensity who interviewed me, treated me in a very disrespectful way. I'm glad I did not get the job.

No No GG! There was nothing disrespectful about the way Squadron Leader Barton treated me. I asked him to look for my lost model. He agreed to look for it at the earliest reasonable opportunity, i.e, after the weekend, he found the model by 09.20 the following Monday morning, he sent me the co-ordinates in an email, I retrieved it and offered him a bottle of Champagne for his trouble. He told me to leave it at the gate house. Apparently he's an aeromodeller too.The guard was expecting me, took the champagne and told me to drive through the barrier, round the traffic island the wrong way and out through the exit. That was that.

Teja, if you like the Super 60 it's here. http://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=552. It used to be the British trainer in the days when you had to build your own trainer. People rang the changes on the basic design. Some fitted a tricycle undercarriage, others reduced the dihedral and fitted strip ailerons. There's that option on the Outerzone too. There was even a firm near Wolverhampton which would build you a four-channel version with inset ailerons, the precursor of modern ARTF trainers. The Penn Models Super 60 was quite famous but unless you specified otherwise, you had to accept it with red wings and a yellow fuselage! I was fortunate enough to buy one of the last surviving Penn Models Super 60's but I crashed it by flying across the disc of the sun at my new French model flying field. I had not yet learned the unique landing approach which is required at our field.

I have a good story about getting access to a British Army base too but that will have to wait for another time and only if anyone's interested. .

You see I've owned both the three and the four channel versions.

Then my apologies for misunderstanding. Kind of difficult to figure the emotional context of one's post, when all that is seen is what is written. Glad to hear it all worked out. As far as the guard goes, he did what he did as required. Yes, it seems that the friendliness of military and government installations has changed over the years. 40 years ago, there was a whole different perspective. There wasn't so much of this distrust and suspicion that we see nowadays.

Just recently the FAA posted a ban against "drones" on US military bases. Used to be that each military department and base commander determined the level of security. I gather by this that no longer is hobbyists on military bases welcomed, even though they are military members in good standing. They banned us from the national parks, now they ban us from the services.

I digress .... Glad to hear that it all worked out for you, and thankful toward the RAF for assisting you.
