PS. When was the last time any of you gentlemen went flying? This question does not apply to Southern Hemisphere residents! In my case it was before Christmas. Since then I have either been in England, or it's been too wet and/or windy and/or cold to fly, or there has been snow on the ground, or I have had other committments like attending a funeral. I have two new and one restored model just waiting to be maidened in my cellar. It's really frustrating!

My Feedback: (6)
My club held it's first Fun Fly of the year on the second Saturday in January. The turnout was quite good with about 20 pilots, family members and about 30 models in attendance which included my G20 gas powered GP Big Stik 60. The weather was just excellent for flying plus the food and drink provided by club was really good and I suspect that everyone had a grand time......I know that I did. .

Yes!! When you get a hurricane everything goes flying. It all comes down in random disorder or improper order . Then you have to re-kit most everything.

It seems no matter where one settles something is there to put a damper on the situation. My wife and I have been looking for a place to move to to end out our years and are having a hard time, maybe we expect too much because paradise isn't real. So far we have been fortunate and have not been hit by any major disasters but I still fear the possibilities, especially at my age. The day was I could just about handle any emergency. but now my body does not permit a lot of stress and strain. It is just too painful to do like I used to!
So if we find a location we like, I will make it my business to put myself in a minimum maintenace situation (I know,......... I'm dreaming)
KAROLH...you neck of the woods seems a good place to start. And I am told I have relatives in Tobago so maybe it is time for a visit.

Why is it we are born, crap our pants and cry all the time and dumber than a brick, then we get old, gain all this knowledge, and get to a point in life where we can put it to good use, but are too old,too weak and in pain to do it, crap our pants and cry all the time? Whoever designed us are idiots.

Hope you like sea crab and calalloo or pelau, ( which is rice and peas with chicken bits ) as those are their main national dishes.....wonderful tasting I might add.

Rice, peas, chicken bits, Cricket. hmmmmmm sounds good to me. And it is further south away from snow. I bet mosquitos are plentiful!
I am considering the cost of living also, here it has become a place for people with millions of dollars with no thought to the average man. (that's spelled greed)
My wife is from Arizona and we are looking there also, the desert areas is some of the best flying I have ever seem, short of the heat and sand storms. I was stationed there for five years and cannot think of too many negatives about the place. but that was a long time ago.
If I leave Texas I will lose a lot of benefits I have enjoyed over the years so we look here also. meanwhile I am going nuts and divesting of much of my holdings in preparation of the move.
