Dear Mike,

I have the Velox G1 with a kingtech K80e. Been with me a while but getting ready to maiden with me only now.
I am worried about the cobra" as it is my 1st jet. However I have programmed the crow or butterfly - with flaps down and ail's up. I have 2 flap settings on a 3 way switch and a butterfly on a separate switch.
Can you please advise:
- what is the amount of flap for take off.
- what is the amount of flap for landing.
- what is the amount of ail and flap in butterfly. Any elevator added ? Up or down?
- does the cobra occur when coming in too fast to land or too slow ?

Are you coming for the jetpower later this year ? I would like to pick up Oleos as suggested by you.
Also wondering if I should get a G2, learn on that and then go back to the G1 ??? The G1 was any way a pre-owned one.

Regards
Sandy Jain

Mine are not that big and mine are stock from FB.

Mains = 2 3/4"
Nose = 2 1/4"

The CG is the back edge of the front anti rotate pin with the gear retracted.

Ailerons and Elevator is 1 inch up and down. Rudder is all you can get.

Flaps are measured at outboard edge near Aileron and are 7/8 inch down for T/O with 1/4 inch up elevator mixed in.

Flaps for landing are 3 inches down measured at outboard edge of Flap near Aileron, with 3/8" up Elevator mixed in.

Sorry, but I don't use the crow setup.

The Cobra only happens when flying slow and a very high alpha. Kinda like doing a Harrier with a 3d plane. Hardest thing is getting it to slow down. The Velox is a great flying plane. You just have to get use to it as it is very clean.
