I am not the best with a PC You go to forum questions and problems and it has a sticky at the top that will guide you. It is at the bottom of the forums list.

When you click "reply" a type screen shows up and at the bottom there is a link "click here to upload images and files!". When you click on that a screen opens allowing you to , I think it says, "Brouse" or upload. There you go and find the pic you want, click ok and give it some time to upload. Try it, You cannot see if you are successful until you again click ok at the bottom of the page.

As you no doubt saw your pictures came out nicely.
I imagine you will epoxy your blind nuts so they do not slip out when engaging the screws in them.
Nice work you are doing.

Nextofkin,
Try mixing your epoxy with a little alchohol, it
will spread better or mabey try 15 or 30 min
looks like mabey it was drying before u were
ready. Just trying to give a few tips based on
what i can see in the pics.
Happy building and flying

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
I thank allfor the consern for the epoxy on the blind nuts but what I ment on post date 03/22/2013 was from the time that the photo was taken 03/12/2013 to the time that it was posted 03/21/2013 the epoxy has been put on the blind nuts
I use alchohol in 30 min. epoxy when I pant a firewall to fuel proof and it does spread better.

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Took about a month and half but I finished up my Kadet last week. I made a few mistakes here and there and I look to correct that on my next build (which I'm leaning towards a Sig 1/5 Cub). Of course the weather has been cold/rainy/windy the last couple weekends here in Nashville (thanks global warming???) so I haven't been able to get it airborne yet. This is my first build and I'm super excited to get it flying! I'm using a Dx8 and upfront is a new Saito 56 with a 12x6 prop.
Thanks!
Thanks!

jstyle13,
You can be real proud of your accomplishment on this Kadet.
Just a suggestion ___you could direct the engine exhaust downward to reduce deposits particularly on the windshield.

Hello folks,
Notice in the pictures of the Kadet by jstyle13 in post #413 the leading edge of the wings.
There is considerale variation of the airfoil between the ribs and still it is reported that this Kadet flys very well.
It is another proof that the rendition of the airfoild is not a critical item. The thing that is important is that the airfoil does not change shape appreciably while flight maneuvering. Just make sure that the covering is tight and cemented to the ribs so that the whole airfoil does not vary and the covering does not lift off the ribs.
I also really like this color combination and scheme; very nice indeed.

I think it would be a Kadet Senior Trimotor or a Kadet Senior Bipe! Maybe you cound downsize it slightly and have a Kadet Seniorita Trimotor or a Kadet Seniorita Bipe, I would build that one!

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
I'm with CanDo - outstanding build job!!!! That orange/black is truly great looking. Wanna cover my next plane?
Zor's got a good point in directing the exhaust down - about 45 degrees would be just about right with the Kadet. You could direct it up, if it's long enough (which yours doesn't appear to be). If not long enough you'll definitely have a good path of oil over your wing and tail. BTW, a club instructor probably wouldn't have noticed - not to worry.

I wanted to downsize it. Yeah a Kadet Sr. is a big plane for a small car (PT Cruiser) and a small apartment. I can get mine in the car but can’t take a passenger (wife) with me then. But then I would have to downsize power to maybe .15s. Nothing wrong with that other than I don’t have any engines that size, and there would not be an option at any point down the road to swap in 4 strokes.
Still looking at the ribs. I need to print out the foil. Does anyone have planes for the Kadet LT-25? If so could you scan the rib section, even if it took 2 scans to fit the scanner bed. I think that is the section I want to go with. Failing that I will just draw out a section that looks real close.
Inspiration came from the Antonov An-2 biplane and the Boeing Model 80

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Ken, I'd look at the Kadet Jr if size is an issue. You can order the plans from Sig for $6 and build from that as the kit has been discontinued. It's only a 48" span so it will fit in almost any car and runs a .15-.25 sized engine. Since my Jr was wrecked, I'm building another from plans and have found it to be a fairly easy build

I actually have 2 sets plans for the Jr. and one Jr stored on the wall, plus my Sr.
What I was thinking about is in post 390 (1 page back). Not your usual Kadet or plane, but a tri motor bi-plane, very much derived from the Kadet.
I used to whip planes out, now cold molasses is faster than me. So this will be a long haul project.

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Please count me in the Kadet Broutherhood! I learned with a SIG Kadet lt40. Just love it. Really want to get one of the new Four Star arfs this summer if I can get one, but I am still keeping the kadet as an everyday flyer. Wouldn't have wanted to learn on anything else.
