Woo hoo!  While rummaging around for an ESC for a foamy, I found that for some reason I had a prop shaft from an old 60-sized electric motor of some sort.  it bolted right up to the Monster Power 60 from Alex's Telemaster!

So...now I've got a .60-sized powerplant and a bunch of standard servos with...nowhere to go.

Poor me...I need yet another airplane!

Hey gang,

A few of us are going up to Mac's on July 27/28.  Some will be camping, some only coming up on Saturday.  Anyone want to join us?

i have the Techone Yak 1100 mm, Tempo, and Su31. they all fly great, but each one does diffence. the yak is the most stable, th tempo is the most respose,, I like the su knife edges. There are 4 of us here that fly then and they have put the fun back into it for us. Get you a tube of quick grip from walmart and some extra props and have some fum.

Thank you Jim, I want to add another SU or Yak to the collection, for the couple extra dollars it looks like the Yak is hard to beat.

I keep worrying they are going to raise the prices.

Alex's Escapade (I know I said a Revolver the other day...not sure why I said that *lol*) arrived today.

Gotta say...dealing with Extreme Flight for a few years has flat spoiled me!

I'd allowed myself to forget some things..like, a gap here, or a loose joint there, or some loose covering...everywhere.  And cheap plastic hardware!  And and and!  [:@]

Some of it I just can't stand, and am upgrading.  *lol*  Some of it I'm reminding myself it's a .40-sized sport plane, and I should really just relax. Still...the difference between the EF Edge and the GP Escapade is remarkable...despite the fact they're essentially the same "class" in terms of power and size.

Oh well...the upshot of all this is that Alex's 2nd plane should be ready to go by this weekend, the TechOne Yak should be here Friday, and lights for the slab foamy should arrive next week.  The trip to Mac's on the 27th is gonna be a blast!

Well, for all that we spent some time tightening covering and replacing 90% of the hardware, I'll give GP credit...the sucker goes together QUICK.

We started working on it about 3, and had it done by 8 or so, with dinner and some errands thrown in.

Hey Frank/Jim/et al,

Is http://www.walmart.com/ip/Quick-Grip-Fast-Grab/19399961 the Quick grip you guys use for the Yaks?

Do you use it for all bonds, or just certain ones and CA elsewhere?

LED strips from Nitroplanes.  If you want to know what colors, you'll have to come to Mac's in 2 weeks

Finished up the Yak today, got a quick flight on it.

So that brings the stable up to 5 now.  48" EF edge, GP Escapade for Alex, Stinger, Pac Yak, and the T1 Yak.

Well we flew today at Frank's, wasn't a good day for me. My cellpro 4s quit, then my dle 55 quit on my Sback while I was in a harrier and ended up breaking the gear and muffler, Then I fell when I got home and my ankle is swollen real bad and I can bearly walk at the monment.

Here is a vid of Frank fishing wheeler plane out of this lagon.

Went out with scott today to a local high school,  did a bit of flying.  Getting a feel for the TechOne Yak...not quite as overpowered as I'd like, but it'll do.

Tried to fly the EF Edge, but we've got motor/ESC problems there.  Don't have a handle on it yet, but since it's an old borrowed cheapo Chinese ESC, I'm going to start there.  Hopefully, Hobby lobby will have a suitable replacement in stock soon.
