Well I am bit old to worry about what my parents might think of various purchases of mine...YET, the fiancee is FAR FAR more of a different matter and deceptively more scary man - Imagine for a moment if you can, a beautiful sophisticated women which rivals any beauty queen then...twist it with the dark side of that chick from American psycho 2...Yup, there you have it. I just baught the new TRAXXAS REVO 3.3 and only after buying a tone of stuff for the MT2 I am now selling. She gets monumentally pissed at me to the enth degree...to the point where I have to run for the hills - just like the Iron maiden song LOL. He he he, Ill suffer your parents any day, wait till you get married its all down hill from there...and up...and down...and up...and down...ETC

Well, its done. the project that has taken me from my MT2 is finally finished. An ALL ALUMINUM Tmaxx. all aluminum means not one part of this tmaxx is plastic, with exception to the air filter and electronics. Now its time to do the MT2 with the same treatment

Hey Bradley that is one really sensationally amazingly put-together little monster there my friend...WOW. Hey just be sure that when youtr clocking up the speed with one hand and your attempting to control the truck with the other...DONT loose control! Otherwise your going to have a VERY expensive ball of metal. Just an assumption though bro, how fast do you estimate it will go...it has 2 speed lol, what about the gear ratio on it...? Is is close or wide or have you customized it more...?

Man, I would love to see it go!

im guessing close to 50+, i put a 52t spur with 18t clutch bell, which is a shorter ratio than the tmaxx origional 72/18.

When I got my MT2 about two years ago I said I wouldn't do too much to it. Oh well, too late. Its not finished yet but everything fits-ish (the only real problem now is the wheels!). I just had to leak pics before Bradley hits the sceen with his Uber Aluminium Edition.

Okay the short answer is the shocks are Newera ACC801 on the front and SCT801 on the rear.

I'll try to copy/paste the parts list i've been making but this list is about two years old so its massive. I have fears about what the formatting will do to it when I paste It up. Sorry if it makes the thread messy! It may be usefull for some though. I know I found the list Frost made earlier in this thread very usefull.

NOTE: Do Your Own Research!!!. >>Best bit of advice my room mate at collage gave me<<. PLEASE DONT BLINDLY BUY PARTS FROM THIS LIST EXPECTING THEM TO BE RIGHT FOR YOU.
I'd hate to be responsible for a dissapointing purchase! If in doubt, ask!

Wow, thanks cjl91000. That really dose make me happy. Now I know, I know its not about whos got the best MT2, but I just could not help telling my self as I build it that 'this is the best MT2'. Shame on me! And I know that as soon as some one else with there better MT2 showes up my MT2 will be put to shame. Theres always a better MT2. And for every good MT2 you see there are 10 other great ones. But I did love kidding my self for a while that this is the 'best' (if such a thing exists) MT2 ever. cjl91000, thanks again for the kind words.
The tyres are the Imex Claw Dawg Tires (7575) btw. lol.

Yeah they look cool. Have you used the stock plastic headlight molding? with some holes in? I was thinking of that. looks good.

Then I think thats what I'll do. I got these metal cups for the LED's but I think they'll snap off if I hit the nose to hard. I was worried about the heat though. I guess they dont melt plastic?

I cant help feeling its my duty to report on the RC4WD 2.2 wheels.
Seeing as how they are so expencive and also probably quite attractive to other people I just want to point out that for me they havn't been a direct fit.
The inner most corner of the wheel (on the bead-locking rim) hits the susspension assembly on both front and back.
I've managed to make the wheels sit slightly wider by putting a shim between the bearing and the cross-pin. This makes the wheel hex and in turn the wheel sit abit further out. This compleatly solves the problem at the front and I feel is strong enough to take the beats.
At the rear though; If I want to mount the shocks at the same point as the lower knuckle mounting, the wheel will need to sit about 5mm wider, possibly compromising the strength of the axel?
My solution so far has been to mount the rear shock at the alternative hole in the rear wishbone. It looks pretty strong, But I just don't know.
Heres a Pic help explain...

I dont think its the shocks that are causing it. The normal ones do it to. And appart from that everything else fits perfect. No binding, no slop.
Hope this helps someone
