Sure there is. I just used the two sided arm that came with the JR servo... I had put the arm facing away from the retract and just needed to put it on with the retract in the down position rather than the up position.

For u H9 P47 owners, do you think that scale accessories from aerotech
will fit this model? I would love to put the aerotech cowl or yellow aircraft
cowl on this bird, also the other scale accessories from aerotech. Or perhaps
even the top flite versions.

I am thinking to adapt a retractable tail in my P-47. Does any body know which one will fit on it? I saw that SierraGiant has some retractables that probably will fit, but I am not sure about the size and model.

My plans are to get this H9 p-47, strip the covering, scrap the cowl and canopy and fully scale it out .
Glass the fuse, and surfaces, put in air retracts, and basically scale it out. I am more of a scale guy
and love lots of details. I even plan on eliminating the exterior pushorods to the rudder and
elevators by moving everything on the inside. I can do this once i strip the covering.
Just my personal preference. It is a good platform to build on and will save time as opposed
to doing a kit like the top flite gold edition. Aerotech makes an awesome kit, detail wise, but
who has $3,000+ laying around. Just my 2 cents

even if you do all that work you would be hard pressed to get a better cowl and canopy the plane is onley fun scale the outlines are not up to scale standards the bottom of the fuse is quit wavey and would be hard to get smooth not to mention that in my opinion the weight would sky rocket making a goog flying plane into a pig in the air [if you want to go that far build a kit just my 2c][:-][:-]

ORIGINAL: pettit ". . . .Lots of power with the Evolution 26 gas engine. . . "
So the Evo 26 gasser is powerful enough? I like a little extra power available in case my thumbs do something stupid. Did you have to do any modifications to ge it to fit?
I'm very interested.
Thanks,
Mike

I put in a robards mechanical tail wheel, fits very nice, may be a little weak if the plane comes in very heavy(it's the plastic one for
up to 14lbs-but the stock wheel fits it. Now just have to try and figure out how to get a set of doors to open and close.
put the Hitec 225 servo up in the middle of the saddle area.

I think you need to replace that servo with a larger , or metal gear servo. Large warbird tailwheel servos take a lot of abuse. Just flipping a large prop, slaps them around pretty good.

Ditto with Terry's thoughts on the servo. While the servo might have 40+ oz of torque..... the gear train is smaller and won't hold up to the pounding the gear will take

I have 8 flights on my P47 as of today. On landing today i ran off the runway and the left retrack poped out of the wing it was very easy to fix because there was not very much glue holding it together in fact the only wood that broke was the sheeting. So i went ahead and reglued the right side as well. i dont think i will have any more problems but i think everybody should check this and repair if needed.

Received my P-47 the other day and noticed that the guns that go in the leading edge of the wing are to big for the pre drilled holes. Anyone else have this problem? Just the longest gun's are the correct diameter.

The hole size isn't a problem. You sure don't want the guns falling into the wing fitting them..... and you don't want them to be too big when you're gluing them. I just wiggled mine in and they fit fine....
