Saw my first vvrc 40 twin today on a large Cub....WOW! A lot of power and I loved the lack of vibration on the airframe.

I'm running it in a Hangar 9 cirrus completely cowled an it runs very cool. I checked with telemetry this past weekend, at cruise the cylinder head temp was only 113 F.

This engine is a perfect match for the Cirrus, very low vibration, tons of power, and contrary to what I have read from others very easy to hand start. I'm running a Beila 18x10 three blade getting about 6600rpm on the ground.

Here is a video taken earlier this year. I was still in the break-in period and using an 18x10 two blade which was very under propped. I'm now running a Beila 18x10 three blade and the engine runs much better now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21Vow3vIDac

I've been flying this engine for about 18 months now, still running great. My only complaint is the lack of availability of more effective mufflers.
