Booster port should be closed like on 3W as well, there is where the Piston wears the most due to pressure on the down stroke

here is where lots of Engines wear like crazy, even NAME brand Engines, bridge the wall at that port and you get a whole lot more live out of it

booster port is open . because this port have 30 degree angle up to cylinder . fast airflow up to chamber direct and fast . not much need to cover this port like main port . also this side of cylinder wall have enough area to support the piston and ring .

Can't seem to find any V2 engines from the dealers. Will they be selling the V2 now or will they be retrofitting unsold V1 engines into V2 ?

Yesterday I got my AGM 30 cc from ebay Germany for just 108 euros postage included. As usual by Chinese engines I carefully inspected what I got and I can tell you that for the first time I have nothing to complain.RCEXL ignition, all bolts are high strength stainless steel except propeller ones which are high strength normal steel,VERY CLEAN!No treces of debris of any kind,WALBRO WT 759 carburettor 11.1mm ,perfect casting, all bolts (very)tight,no offset of crankshaft. What can I say more ,for this price in Germany is unf....ngbeliveble!!I put it on the test stand and I had to drill 2 proprellers to test it tomorrow.Propellers Mezjlick 18X8 and 18X 10.I think the engine was test run in factory because in the carb was a tiny little bit of gas and the engine itself smells gasoline. On the piston ring there is obvious running mirror and in the inside of cilinder also.It also has a very good compression for a new gasser, not like other engines I had.I will tell you how it works and the propeller data will be also availble. At least in Germany, this is the cheapest gas engine you can buy.

as long as you never put a dial indicator on the prop hub or shaft to check the run out,it all looks good.
go over to flying giants and look at the vedio on the 30. one that a guy has check everything inside and out.

That was one engine.
I remember all the praise about Mintor engines and how many people got the shaft. Then the PTE engine that was given high marks. It gave many people a lot of problems.
But then came alone EME engines and a lot of people have had good luck with it.
Now Michael has had a few words with the boys over at Flying Giants, and they are a tough crowd to deal with.
I wanted to lease a 30 from AGM and if it ran good then I wanted to buy it. But I could not get an Exact amount it was going to cost me.

the engine that he took apart and check out was the second one that he did that to,he said that in the video.the first one he had already sent back.it's a vey informative video.
not trying to discount AGM just letting guy's get the most info on these engines before they decide.
just the fact that you couldn't get a firm price to rent lets you know just what your up against.

DLE was putt in the hole in the beginning just as well and now they hardly can keep up with stock and some other manufacture make you pay for a Lexus and send you a Yugo. The on i got is fine for me, also don't check on Propellers and there allignments you may quit the hobby

Well, today I went on the field and try to start the engine. Two propellers,18X8 and 18X10 Mezjlick wide blades.Carb primed, fuel line full,choke,3 flips with choke, ignition on,first flip pop, choke open, one flip and there we are....about 2500 RPM with factory settings on carb, timing and Chinese clone of CM6 sparkplug.Fuel 1:25 Castrol 2stroke mineral oil,the cheapest you can find.Carb L 1.5 H 1.75,timing was somwhere between 28-30 degrees(yes yes, I have the RCEXL dial and beeper ).After one hour of running at various speeds I made some tests with WOT and low idle. After that I set the carb needles a little lean L 1,35 and H a little rich 1.85(all 0+- 0.05).Now I am pretty sure that the engine was previous run in because the carb was almost there. What I adjusted was the timing,I put it between 23-25 degrees because of better idle and vibration level. Now the numbers: 18X8 7800RPM , 18X10 7450RPM.Idles steady at 1700 rpm and I even obtained 1500 steady but after 1 min WOT the engine develops a tendency to stop when trottled back quickly. After the first run,the engine started easy first or second flip, even hot after 5 minutes stop.In about 2 hours of running and testing I managed to burn just 1,2 liter of fuel(!!!!).Because I prepared 2,5 liters of 25:1 mix I will burn tomorrow the rest and after that I am curious to see how it will perform with my usual mix 33:1 MOTUL 800 2 Stroke Double ester Road Racing. What I like:Little Vibration(got lucky with the crankshaft...).What I dont like :The so called silencer(which will be VERY soon replaced) is not good welded and sealed.I will let you know further tests.WHAT I LIKE VERY MUCH:The price is just one quarter of 3W28i(which is a very good engine!!!) is lighter and has the same if not a little more power.(I preffer to buy 4 of these AGM30 instead of one 3W 28i(which I say once again IS a very good engine) because the Gravity has just one direction: DOWN...)
