RE: Peak Models 65cc??
I Had got some 2 inch stand offs from online but some guys on here said that the torque from those long stadoffs is bad for the plane (there was a thread on this can't find it right now). So I used the ones that came with the engine and made some wooden Block standoffs that made up the rest of the space I needed. It works pretty good and they hold really strong.
I got my spinner from espritmodel.com it was the nylon one with the aluminum backplate (they srew in with 4 screws from the top like the regular ones do)... They have good prices on fiberglass ones or Carbon fiber also (they screw in from the base of the spinner), I got these becase u don't have to tap the bolts for the spinner srew. If you get one of the others you will have to find a bolt that is tapped on the head to fit or get the one that you have tapped for the screw size. ( I don't wont to have to go through that.) I Have an SPE 26cc engine and the bolt that comes with them are tapped on the head so I can change them out if I want. The Spe's bolt is a little Long so I would have to cut it To make it shorter because the shaft is not that deep on the 65cc's, with the prop on it doesn't tighten all the way, The bolt stops in the shaft before it thightens on the prop. There are a few web sights some one gave me to get bolts from because I asked the same question you just asked me! BCMA, Brillelli....
this is the quote from Truckracer,
"Most off the engine companies .....Zenoah, Brillelli, BCMA, Fuji, just to mention a few .... offer tapped bolts. You can also get one from Ralph at Rcign. I'm surprised your engine didn't come with one as this is just about a standard engine feature."
http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp...S&Category=618
I plan on getting one of these soon...
They have different color ones hear and the spinner back plates are solid aluminum, instead of the ones with the lighting holes in them like the espritmodel ones. the prices aren't so bad either.

Here are some pictures of the standoffs, MAKE SURE YOU USE HARD WOOD! The first time I used balsa blocks, LOL! didn't know what I was doing are getting into! they held up for about 4 engine runs then you have to retighten them because of the vibrations and then they started to crack... Changed them out with some other wood that I got from a guy at the field...

Good question, I guess it is all in who you buy it from. might Eamil the seller and ask if they carry parts, Most of the parts other than muffler and engine block will interchange form other brand motors

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
T3beatz,
I'm not sure where you can get some parts in the US, I have them all....LOL. Saying that, it's almost impossible to send you something from here, as it is too expensive.
I have however just received a mail from a chap called "PISTON" (screen name) and he seams to be the distributor in Canada, he will more than likely be able to help you.
I have for the first time this weekend run the 50cc in a plane, and that was awesome, it makes the same power than a well run DL-50 and pulls a 16,5 pound Extra out of sight.
Regards
Andreas

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
T3beatz,
I have a G62 carb one one of My 65cc engines, as I broke the original, and the bolt spacing on that fit perfectly to the manifold, but then all Walbros have 30mm spacing. I don't have one here to check, Buy Yes, I think that they would fit.
I have a 90 degree bent manifold from Tony Clark on the other 65cc and though I am not sure, I think I bolted that directly to the head?? The bend is for a G62.
The planes are a KMP Yak fitted with a DL-50 my favorite plane, and the other one is a Superb Model Extra (same as the PAU 330) and is fitted with a RCGF 50cc awsome, unfortunatly it's not mine[&o]
regards
Andreas

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
There fine no problems from them yet... I only have about 7 or 8 flights with my plane so far. I have a couple more videos of the plane on you tube. The engine is running alot better now.

Which prop are you using and what rpms do you reach?
I am thinkig of instaling this engine on my EF Yak 54. At the moment i am using DA-50 on 1060 KS tuned pipe.
Have fun.

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
At first I had a Xoar 22x10 and it was turning about 6900rpm, I broke it and switched to a zinger 22x10 ( just in case I broke this one too! I'm still breaking in the engine also) it turned 7100rpm. Once I get a couple gallons through it I'm gonna move up to a 24x8. New engine still a little rich, I'm not the best gas engine person yet...

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
The Zenoah G62 Pitts muffler does not fit the Peak 65CC. The bolt patterns are way off. I did a test and know for sure. Does anyone know what pitts muffler or slimline pitts would fit the Peak 65cc. Your help would be great.
Thank You much
Matt

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
Hi Can I ask what muffler you were able to fit on the Peak 65 CC engine. I know you said it is a 180 two stroke engine pitts muffler.
But what brand, any or a specific one. I bought a Zenoah G62 pitts muffler but it does not fit, the bolt pattern is way off.
Thank You
Matt

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
Matt,
I bought a Pitts style Bisson muffler (2 of them) from J-tec. It cost 89.00 for one.
PN 05519. I went to my local hobby shop and gave my engine to them to get the specs. It came in a week. For the Peak 65cc the part no is PN 05519 EVOL/MVVS 1.60 W/A. That's what's written on the label. Hope this helps.

RE: Peak Models 65cc??
does anyone know what other insulator manifolds (the thing that separates the carb from the engine) might fit on this engine? Most that I see bolt striat through to the engine block, I need the same type that comes with the engine...

Hey, you can buy parts for RCGF engines from their new US Distributor in New York. www.zrcgf.com
