It's looking awsome. I'm in the same boat.....I've got a 46% giles thought that's getting done in the redbull scheme. I like the variation you did on the fuse. Simply awsome. What paint did you use on the cowl?

The DA does look a bit small lol, but its a huge plane. I'm prepping to cover my wings hopefully this weekend or early next week. I can't wait. But I"m not looking forward to ordering all the vinyl for the lettering and logo's. The cowling is next, but since my plane was wrecked, I have some FG repair work to do before it'll be ready to paint. I've got a pic gallery of the rebuild on my website if anyone is interested. Keep up the good work,

Neo, if you have not yet ordered the graphics, you should give BadBradGraphics a try. He is VERY reasonable, gets the stuff out in days and is willing to help shrink/stretch/etc to make them fit your application. I have been very happy working with him. Not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer. Will check out the pics of your build, Craig

Here's also the thread I've had running on the rebuild...it's sorta died off, but it'll give ya the general idea with having to wade through all the pics on my website. I'll also give BadBradGraphics a try to see when they come up with for a price.

CBK07 that pitts looks sweet..I plan on getting a short kit when they are available from Bob. List any recommendations you have from your build for us..I won't be building mine for a bit but I want it in stock just in case and will keep your recommendations handy.

Got the base on the cowl today. Will paint the top blue and a yellow ring around the nose tomorrow. Also started applying the Bulls, but the carrier paper is not ready to come off yet. Not sure on the wheel pant color. Maybe yellow or red? That's all for now, cbk

That looks great...Did Bob say when the next batch would be ready to ship? I just called him but he was out to lunch..
I would love to stop by and see it some time if it isn't a bother.

My friend Steve laid out some flames on the cowl today. I am torn whether to spray them bright yellow or do a simple yellow ring around the cowl. Any opinions? Will they look good or is it too much? Where the bull is will be masked off and stay silver. Thanks, cbk

Yellow flames all the way, just like Kirby's new edge. It'll look awsome. I'm doing it on a giles, but I think with that round cowl, the effect will be even better.

Talked to Bob T. today and he is changing a few things but said it will be done soon. The flames look awesome, wish I had a friend to paint like that..I can do a near perfect monokote job and then totally screw the glass work...I have tried it all just can't seem to get it...See if I got the flames that good when I peeled the tape the edges would go with it...Now if the flames came out bad then the tap would pull clean..Now all my cowls are one color, off color at that..
As for the flames go blue on silver with the yellow ring in front for color...The yellow flames really don't follow the rest of the model..You could also use the yellow to trim the flames out, for that fact paint them yellow and trim them off with the blue or silver to bring in the rest of the plane...Heck it will look good either way now I think of it..

Thanks Brad. Let me know what you think about the vert stab/rudder.
V-snap, if all goes well, should be out at Winding Brook quite a bit this summer. Thanks, Craig
For the record, I miscut the bull that goes on the right side of the cowl (hence the left side pics). Called Brad about 20 minutes ago looking for a replacement. Talk about great service!!
