After letting it sit in my basement for over a year, I am finally covering my Pitts 12 from Bob Trueworthy's plans. The kit is very well thought out. Production kits should be available this spring. Going with Red Bull Scheme, graphics from Brad at BadBradGraphics.com. Very nice guy to work with and reasonable. Will post more pics as I get closer. Craig

Thanks for the replies. I plan on a DA 150, JR 8611's. You would have to contact Bob at Bigairplanes for a price. I have seen the lasercutting for his kits and it is VERY nice. He has been flying both this version and the newer production version for a couple of seasons now and has gotten excellent feedback from many of the big name pilots. I am planning on having this one done for Joe Nall. cbk

Can't wait to get one of these short kits. I am on the list and have talked to Bob a couple of times about them. Won't get to build it for a couple years but I want to make sure I have one when the shop gets built.
The Red Bull should look great on this plane.

Hi Craig!
Bob told me that you were interested in this Monster Pitts 12 logo. I got this from the owner of the full size version of my 35% Pitts 12. Bobs kits are great and good luck with yours. This is the highest res image I have of the Monster logo. Have you seen any pix of my cockpit kit for Bob's Pitts 12?

Dave,
The owner of the full scale version of mine lives in South Africa. He sent me this logo image and indicated that he will be placing it on eiter side of the cowl in the rear/top section of the cowl. Not real large. Unfortunatly I have never recived a pic with the logo added. He was the one to have this logo created to the best of my knowlage. It is not an offical logo of any kind. Just one mans fun. Down load that logo in the post above and I'm sure you could find someone to make a decal for it. Just do not sell it to anyone, since we did not create it.
Here is a few pix of my Pitts 12.

The full scale aircraft have not used the MACHO STINKER very much if at all. Actually the full sacel version of mine was only the second (?) Pitts 12 built and he does (did) have that logo on his. I have not seen it on any other full scale aircraft. I will try and find the pix.

I don't think he was the second, Curtiss #1, Ben Morphew #2, Kimball #3 and one in PA that went in on an engine failure and so on and on. I know he is one of the top 10 though..
I just like the Big Skunk as it flows with all the pitts models..I have pictures of it in the Mags on this plane. Kevins was actually called the falcon, I believe due to the design changes and the fact the rights were sold to another party first. He then sold his parts as modified M-12 pieces and then finally purchased the rights to the Pitts M-12 and now do it all. The origonal pitts has rounded wing tips and a longer fuse. Kevin made a host of design changes to increase maneuverability and reposition the pilot for better G-loading. Also the upper wing was lowered from the origional and the tail shortened for balance purposes.
Great airplane though want to build one someday..

Making a little progress. The canopy is ready for mounting/painting and the cowl is mounted ready for paint. The DA should be here for the end of the week so I can finish up the front end and the rest of the graphics should arrive in a day or two. Covering wise, all that is left is the wings. A friend of mine polished the gear also. Will post more pics as I get closer. Looking like no problem to get it ready for Joe Nall. Craig
